Louisville Alumnae Foundation Activities
As alumnae, we continue our philanthropic mission of Service for Sight There are many opportunities for Delta Gammas to assist local organizations and our Delta Gamma Foundation including:
Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS): Louisville alumnae help with both the VIPS annual holiday campaign mailer and we are always excited to adopt a VIPS family in need for the holiday season. We have opportunities to donate money, gifts and time.
American Printing House for the Blind (APH) and the Kentucky School for the Blind (KSB): Louisville alumnae participate in the annual Braille Challenge sponsored by the Braille Institute and held at KSB by either setting up the night before or escorting visually impaired students through the literacy challenge. We continue to do good and support Service for Sight.
Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation: Our chapter enjoys this partnership to perform vision screening services and to collect used glasses, reading glasses, cheaters and sunglasses for donation to those in need.
50/50 Raffle: Buy your raffle tickets at select general meetings. Drawings will be held at the end of several meetings. The winner receives 50% of the ticket sales that day and the other 50% will be donated to Delta Gamma Foundation.
2024-25 Focus on Foundation
Our Foundation focus is on service for sight, education and programming, fundraising and contribution, and collegiate chapter support. We have set a special goal to raise $2,000 for a scholarship in memory of our dear sister, Mary Frances Pack.
Eyeglass Donation -- September 24 at Fall Kick-Off
We are collecting used glasses as a Service for Sight project including: prescription glasses, reading glasses, cheaters and sunglasses. If you have glasses you want to donate, please bring them to our first general meeting on September 24 or contact Lisa Bajorinas at lbajorinas@aol.com. Glasses will be donated to the Lions Club for distribution to those in need.
Annual Campaign Mailer project for Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS) -- November 11 at VIPS
A chapter favorite, we continue our long-standing relationship with VIPS by supporting their annual campaign mailer by getting their invitations stuffed, stamped and ready to go! Join us on Monday, November 11 at 6:00pm at VIPS for light supper and sisterhood while doing good!
Foundation Fundraiser: DG Day at California Pizza Kitchen
Stay tuned for a fantastic and EASY fundraiser with California Pizza Kitchen on September 17. We'll advise what date has been selected in conjunction with Lunch Bunch.

Dine in or take out at California Pizza Kitchen in Oxmoor Mall anytime on our special fundraising day and 20% of your entire check will go to the Delta Gamma Foundation! How easy is that? You must show our special flyer to get credit, so don't forget! The flyer will be emailed to you and posted on our Facebook page as soon as it is ready.
